Dante Direct! The April Progress!


Hello!!!!!

I think I’m actually early for once!  Plus, happy Saturday! It’s time for the monthly Dante Update! 
And Woah, O my Jod! A “new” LCP as well! 
So without further ado! Lets get into this one which I’m calling The Roadmap Update

Work Continues until (personal) Morale rises
Obviously, it’s April. And woah, o my jod, time flies when you are busy. 

Rewrites continue is the long and brief of it.  Specifically, as you can see from the screenshot, this is the amount of items left to get through. It may not seem like alot, but I do want to break it down for a moment.  Each Faction is going to be around 2 or 3 pages if I expand them out the way I want to. That’s around 26 pages.  In addition the GM section is just getting started.  There are things there that especially have changed, such as the two jobs, theming and tone, and even getting in smaller things in that aspect.  Not to mention the balancing changes for pilot equipment, exotics that are already in there, and making the other 3 big 4 frames, plus reworking some of the other frames. 
Notably, I know I am approaching the end of the lore side of things, which is a big thing on my end as it means I’ll have more of a chance to breathe. 
The idea may be to just codify the factions and GM side of things, and just simply work off the LCP before getting anything concrete into the Field Guide, which I prefer more.  With that being said, that does bring us to some LCP stuff!

LCP Changes! The Bermuda!!!!

For anyone who’s been following the last few dev logs, I keep referencing the IPS-N Bermuda. 
Well, it’s finally in. 
The reason for this is actually thanks to my Campaign group - T3M (Shout out to T3M, go T3M! D Face! :D)  All content you guys see in the Field Guide is often because I’m making changes from them and my various playtester groups based on feedback and caught errors.  This is a .05 update, which means it was really updating some wordings, a couple of errors, and small things I needed to take care of my end. 

Tswaing Changes

Tswaing’s LL1 did change, particularly Cultivated API Array.

The reason why is I was a fucking dumbass when I made Tswaing. I didn’t realize (At the time. Remember, made the Tswaing as I was learning how the game worked and functioned, which is why so many of the older models are so buns) that invades organically did 2 heat. So the early stages of Tswaing really heat gunned down akin to a Chomolunga. 
The problem was that API Array could deal 5 heat from an invade at LL1. This needed a change. 
Subviral arithmetic deals 1 AP energy damage. Buuut if they’re in the danger zone, you get burn and slow
Cytopathic now notably has a choice. Deal no heat, but move someone 2 away. Or deal 3 heat raw instead of 2 heat. 
This is specifically targeted at API Array. I needed to make it less fucky. 

Small Changes, Exotics and GMS gear

I’m starting to work through smaller changes on Pilot Gear and exotics and the GMS mods I had put in. Those changed slightly and partially, and honestly are not too important at current because it was just touch-ups. Things like Scrat Killing Sycthe clarifying the first health threshold. 
This area will get longer hopefully by the time I have the LCP ready. Which will be at some point. 

IPS-N Bermuda!!!!

Like I said before, the Bermuda is in. I’m really happy with the frame and what it does, I did make 2 accidental errors which will be cleaned in a month. First error was a blunder on Beach of Null - a misclick. They should both be full tech options
The second error is one I actually want to test first. The save target. Very few frames have a save of 12. I want to either bump this down to 11 or 10, but I need to see how it operates first and foremost. I’m particularly worried about it for the Fathom charges and core passive, and so expect the save target to be lowered. 
Other than that, I think the Bermuda has some of my favorite tech and ideas I’ve made thus far. IPS-N making a “tech” platform that is just as brute force as the rest of the frames is a fun space to explore! 

Xi’s Daily life

In terms of the last bits I got for ya today, my life is still busy!
Notably I should have more time for writing as I don’t need to worry about my master’s applications anymore!!!!!
Literally before I wrote this, found out I got into the master school of my choice, so I am fucking estatic!!!!

Finally, something is coming up. 
The 1 year anniversary of Dante! 
May 5th! I had posted the initial ideas and logs for dante starting then, so it’s a shock to me I’ve been able to stick with it, and how people have been enjoying seeing my progress and everything happening. 

But that’s all from me! Hopefully, within the month, I am done with my lore writes, and I will finally finally be able to get back to LCP things.
